懷念外婆／陳佳玎

After an incredible 106 years on this great earth, my grandmother passed away peacefully this afternoon with my family by her side. All my life, she has been the pillar of strength and love for this Chen family. She was the first female bus driver in Taiwan, spoke 4 languages, raised 3 successful children and then dedicated her life to us 6 crazy grand-kids. At 94 years old, she snuck out of the house on her own and figured out how to ride the new subway system to shop at the mall. Fearless and strong-willed, her mind was sharp as a tack until the end. She was part of our Taiwan wedding celebration in August, healthy and happy, and I am so blessed to have that last memory of her. She always carried a fiercely strong will to live, and to live life to the fullest. Her spirit and spark will be deeply missed.

外婆今天凌晨在家人的陪伴下，平安的走完了她在世上106年不可思議的璀璨人生。在我的記憶裡，她一直都是陳家「愛和力量」的大支柱。外婆是台灣第一位女性公車司機、會說四種語言、教養出3位成功的孩子、然後投入她的生命參與教導我們6個頑皮孫子女的工作。她在高齡94歲時，曾經偷偷獨自出門，摸索如何乘坐新的捷運地鐵，然後成功的到購物中心購物。外婆無所畏懼、意志堅強、頭腦清晰銳利，一直到最後仍是如此。她是我和Rick今年8月在台北舉行婚宴感恩禮拜的貴賓，那時她仍然健康且充滿喜悅，我們很有福氣存留了對外婆最後的回憶。外婆總是帶著一股強烈嚴格的毅力，豐富的活著，我們會深深地懷念她的生活精神與散發出的生命火花。阿婆，我們愛您。
